With a starting point in Southern Germany and five pools to chose from at our base, it was clear this would be a special week. Again, the sun shone on us, as over the course of the week, we wound our way over The Alps, through The Dolomites, into the heart of Austria and ended in Bratislava.
Red Bull’s hospitality was second to none both on track and at their new countryside retreat. The roads remained traffic-free and everyone got the chance to drive their cars on the best roads Europe has to offer. Our day off in Austria was perfect, with Captain Robert bringing us to dinner and back on his new speedboat after a day relaxing on the lake. The helicopter flight this year was slightly nerve-wracking with a request for the pilot “to show us his stunt capabilities”. He did not disappoint. We had a professional race team look after us at the Red Bull Ring and all of the cars sailed through the day whilst everyone had the chance to experience each others’ cars.
Yet again, everyone had a truly fantastic week and all of the drivers are looking forward to 2013.
